What's in the boxes?

We carefully handpick items that revolve around the current month’s theme. We include a mixture of full-sized and sample sized products, which may include candles, melts, soaps, accessories, and more!

Will I know what's in the box before purchase?

That would ruin our element of surprise! We do run sneak peeks of some special things that will be in the boxes, but we don’t post entire contents prior to shipping. Once boxes have shipped, we post our own box content photos and we encourage our customers to share theirs, too!

What's so special about your boxes?

We think our boxes are a bit unique for a number of reasons. For one, the products are 100% curated – we don’t include any companies in our boxes that we have not tried and approve of ourselves. We also purchase the majority of the products for our boxes, making us extremely selective.

There are a ton of candle boxes out there. Why should I choose yours?

We agree! There are a lot of awesome boxes available on the market to help bring scented goodies directly to your doorstep. We subscribe to some of them ourselves! We think our boxes are a bit unique for a number of reasons.

  • The products in our boxes are 100% curated – we don’t include any companies that we have not tried and approve of ourselves.
  • We purchase the majority of the products for our boxes. Because of this, we have to be very selective about what goes into our boxes.
  • While our focus is home fragrance, we are more about creating an experience. As we shelter at home, we want things to surround us that make us feel special and comforted. Our boxes bring you more than just a candle or wax melt – we bring you a sense of serenity!
  • Don’t be afraid of the unknown! You are able to submit a scent profile to us and we will mix and match scents in your boxes that we think you may enjoy. Become an Elite Club member and enjoy more customization and even some personalization!

In addition to all of the above, we have a fabulous loyalty program – for every 12 boxes you order, you get a free, personalized gift from us and get one step closer to Elite Club membership!

Is this just a box full of samples?

Nope. We offer a fun mixture of full-sized products and some sample sizes, with the content varying each month. However, each box is guaranteed to contain at least one full-sized product that is considered to be the featured item in the box.  

What is a luxury candle?

We know the definition of luxury can mean different things for different people. For our purposes, a luxury candle is considered one that retails for at least $2 per ounce. This pricing must be consistent across the candle company’s line (as some smaller candles are generally priced higher per ounce of wax).  For an 8 ounce candle, this means it would retail for at least $16. While this is not a perfect system, it gives us an objective threshold when searching for luxury candles.

How does ordering work?

We offer 3 different types of boxes each month – The Flicker (for wax melt lovers); The Flame (our standard candle box); and The Luxe (our luxury candle box). Once you decide on which type of box you want, you have a number of options available to you:

 

  1. Single Box Purchase: You are able to purchase a single box without obligation for a monthly subscription. This is a great way to try out our boxes.
  2. Month-To-Month Subscription: Each box is able to be purchased on a recurring monthly basis. If you subscribe before the monthly cutoff date, you will receive that month’s box and each box on following months as long as you stay subscribed.
  3. 3-Month Subscription: You can save 5% by subscribing for a 3-month period and receiving the next three boxes to your door! At the end of the 3-month period, your subscription will auto-renew unless you decide to cancel.
  4. 6-Month Subscription: Save 7% by subscribing for a 6-month period. This subscription will auto renew until you cancel.
  5. Annual Subscription: Our greatest savings are with our yearly subscriptions. You’ll save 10% by ordering an annual subscription, securing a year’s worth of scented goodness delivered to your door! The annual subscription will auto renew unless you decide to cancel. 

 All subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel. Payments due are processed on the 15th of every month, except for annual subscriptions. Annual subscriptions are set to auto-renew on the exact 1-year anniversary date of the original subscription.

When will I get my box?

All boxes are generally shipped out on the first Monday and Tuesday of each month, with some occasional exceptions. We use USPS as our carrier and we currently ship from the state of Mississippi. You can use this information to estimate when your box might arrive. **PLEASE NOTE: If you have ordered after the cut off date for a particular month’s box, you will receive the following month’s box.**

How do the subscriptions work?

Our subscription packages are a way for you to save on your overall costs. You can purchase a 3-, 6-, or 12-month subscription, saving 5-10% over a single box purchase. Once purchased, you will receive each next month’s box up until your subscription runs out. For example, if you purchase a 3 month subscription in late March, you will receive the April, May, and June boxes as part of your subscription. At the end of the term, you will have the option to renew, modify, or discontinue your subscription. Subscriptions are set to auto renew. You will receive 14 day and 1 day reminders, allowing you to adjust or cancel your subscription if you’d like. All of our billing is done on the 15th of every month, with the exception of annual subscriptions. Annual subscriptions simply renew on the same day the following year. 

How much is shipping?

Nothing. Nada. Zilch. We offer free shipping for all our boxes mailed within the United States.

Do you ship internationally?

At this time, we only ship within the United States.

Do you have coupons?

    We do understand that our boxes are not the most inexpensive ones out there. That’s why we’ve included a number of different ways for you to save: 
  • New customers are able to save 10% with the code HEYIMNEW. This code applies once per customer.
  • If you refer a friend and they purchase a box or subscription, you get $5 off your next box. Your friend will need to include your Customer Number in the Notes section at checkout. Once we have verified the information, we’ll send you a one-time use coupon code for $5. Refer more friends and get more codes! Please Note: We cannot retroactively apply a referral credit. Your friend must include your customer number in the notes section at checkout in order for you to receive the credit. Please make sure they have the information they need when checking out. You can obtain your customer number from your account dashboard. 
  • Review our boxes! Once you’ve had a chance to experience our boxes, leave a review to help others as they shop. We will issue you a 10% discount code for a valid review! One review discount coupon code per customer.  
  • Leave a review in our Candle Company Directory (CCD)! After you’ve tried one of the companies in our boxes, head over to our CCD and leave a meaningful review for that company. Once we have verified the review, we will issue you a $5 coupon code that you can use towards a future purchase. 

These coupons are great! Can I stack them?

Why, thank you! However, we only accept one coupon code per order. 

Do you offer a loyalty program?

We are glad you asked! For every 12 boxes that a customer orders, they get a special, personalized gift from Candlefind. The gift will be included in the 12th box as a special thank you from our team. This applies if you have received one box for 12 months or have purchased a total of 12 boxes over a shorter period of time. We just want to show our thanks!

We also have an Elite Club membership for customers that have purchased for 30 consecutive months from us. Our Elite Club members receive special perks, such as enhanced customization and even some box personalization!

Hey, I didn't get my free gift. What gives?

We’re sorry! We try to stay on top of things, but we recognize that we sometimes make mistakes. If you believe you are missing your free loyalty gift, please email us at sales@candlefind.com and we will look into it ASAP.

What are the benefits of a subscription?

Our subscribers get a number of additional perks, starting with the built in savings over a single box purchase. And as a subscriber, you’re able to reach that 12th box status even faster!

Can I skip a month or pause my membership?

Yes, you can! If you are not interested in a particular month’s theme or if you will be out of town, simply suspend your membership through your account dashboard. Please note that throughout the life cycle of your subscription, you are only able to suspend your subscription twice. 

How do I cancel?

What? Cancel? Oh no! While we hate to see you go, we certainly understand if priorities change. You can cancel your subscription by logging into your account and selecting ‘cancel’ or ‘unsubscribe.’ If you need help canceling your subscription, please email us at sales@candlefind.com and we will promptly take care of your cancellation. Once canceled, you will still receive any remaining boxes left on your subscription. If you purchased a single box, you will have to cancel before the 15th of the month before you are expected to receive your box. (For example, in order to cancel your March box, you must request your cancellation by February 15th.).

Why are all the boxes sold out?

To help manage our upfront costs, we have a limited number of boxes for sale each month. As our product line grows, we may carry more boxes at one time.

Am I able to gift a box or a subscription?

Absolutely! When checking out, there is a box you can check to indicate the purchase is a gift. You will need to include the email address of your giftee. Once we’ve received your order, a message will go out to the recipient and they will be prompted to complete their account registration on our site. Both you and the recipient can see and manage the gift box or subscription. Your giftee cannot renew the subscription using your billing information, but you are able to renew it if you would like. Otherwise, just be sure to cancel the subscription through your portal. 

Do you offer prior boxes for sale?

We occasionally have leftover boxes from the prior months. If they are still available, they will be listed on our website under Past Months until they are sold out. Once a box sells out, we are not able to recreate them.

Are the specialty boxes a part of my subscription?

We occasionally offer special boxes, such as a Holiday Gift Box each year. If offered, these boxes are not included in your subscription and will need to be purchased separately.  

I love the candles in your boxes! Do you have them for sale?

We are working on plans to sell a select few of the box items on our website. In the meantime, check the box insert and our Meet The Makers section to learn where you can purchase these products. 

Do you offer refunds?

Our subscription based model is not refundable. You may cancel your subscription at any time and there will be no further auto renewals. We cannot offer a refund for unused portions of your subscription at the time of cancellation. You will receive the remaining items left in your subscription, or you can direct us to send the remaining boxes to a friend. 

What's your return policy?

Due to the nature of our products and the current COVID-19 pandemic, we do not accept returns for our boxes. If your package was damaged during shipment, please email us (sales@candlefind.com) within 7 days of receipt and include a photo of the damage. Once we have verified your order and the damages, we will issue you a store credit in the amount of the damaged box. 

What if I just don't like the scents in my box?

Bummer! We try to avoid this as much as possible by having your scent profile on file. We use this to match you with scents we think you might like best. Still, we know that scent is a very personal thing and you might not be happy with all the items in your box. We include a free gift tag in each box so that you can gift those items to someone who might enjoy them. We are also working on a community space where you can sell and/or exchange items with other boxers for something you might love. 

I forgot to submit my scent profile. Can I do it now?

Yes! You can submit your scent profile at any time – even if you’ve already submitted one before. If you forgot during checkout or if your scent preferences have changed, you can always access the profile questionnaire here: https://bit.ly/3qAGziX . 

I have a blog/Instagram/YouTube channel/podcast. Can I get a free box to review?

We love free publicity! We have a select number of boxes reserved for reviewers and influencers. Email us your pitch at sales@candlefind.com and we will determine if you’re a good fit. Reviewers may get past boxes or be placed on a waiting list, depending on our current demand.
